About Us

The Mid Wales County Golf Association was founded in November 1978 under the original name of the Mid Wales Ladies Golfing Association. The inaugural meeting was held at Machynlleth Golf Club. The aim of the Mid Wales County Golf Association is to promote and encourage ladies' and junior girls' amateur golf throughout the County through the organisation of social and competitive golf for all ages and abilities.

MWCGA Philosophy

In the County Association friendship is everywhere, hospitality from one and every club is real and sincere, and the loyalty and support from all members is the essence of the County Association's success. Such has been the growth from the Mid Wales Ladies Golfing Association to the Mid Wales County Golf Association.
