With a forecast of heavy rain we made our way to Llanymynech on Sunday with trepidation. The early teams had the best of the weather and some even managed to get in before the heavens opened and the fog came down. Scores are over 15 holes accordingly.

Read MoreMid Wales County Golf Association would like to thank Aberdovey Golf Club very much indeed for their warm welcome hosting the County Championships this weekend. The course was superb and the hospitality and organisation second to none. Our new County Champion is Sarah Rees Evans and the Plate Winner is Alex O’Brien. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at the club and to the referees, all the competitors and supporters on making this such a fantastic event. Hats off the weather too, I think it’s fair to say it played a big part in our enjoyment this weekend!
