Welshpool Spring Team of 3 Results

The Spring team of 3 competition was held at Welshpool Golf Club on Saturday 30 March 2019 . A gloomy start to the day had teams going out in coats and bobble hats and coming in in vest tops with the later starters experiencing a round full of sunshine. The course was in fabulous condition and recent improvements have it looking great.

Congratulations go to the Llanymynech team of Annie Prince, Sian Whiteoak and Maxine Bostock who won with 82 points.

2nd - Hayley Price, Lindsay Jones and Grace Edwards of Builth Wells with 80 points. Congratulations go to Hayley Price on her first ever Hole in One on the 3rd.

3rd - Linda Aldridge, Ann Downes Evans and Sue Shemilt of Welshpool with 77 points.

4th - Julia Cartwright, Anne Owen and Liz Daplyn of Porthmadog with 75 points.

5th - Margaret Bowen, Maggie Cadwallader and Ann Newell of Welshpool with 74 points.

The only two 2’s of the day were somewhat extraordinary, with Sally Wilkinson of Aberdovey bagging hers on the par 5 9th hole and Chris Hughes of Builth Wells finding hers nestling in the hole after looking everywhere else on the par 4 7th.
